The elephant is disappearing from our planet. In 1930 there were between 5 and 10 million african elephants. Now there are only between 470,000 and 700,000 individuals.
The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is biting back to save the elephant in Africa and Asia, funding the fight against wildlife crime through anti-poaching operations, intelligence operations, ranger training, habitat protection and working with local communities in key elephant areas.
'At 17 I'm old enough to understand the reality of this issue and the impact it will have on the future. I certainly plan on doing my bit, and I'm young enough to act now and help shape the world I want to be living in'- Louis Barnett
